The company reported net income of $20.3 million for the six months ended July 31, 2021, which represented an 84% decline from the figure reported for the six months ended August 1, 2020. While the company benefited from an increase in product demand in 2020, including face masks and other personal protective equipment, performance gains were short-lived as net sales declined in 1H 2021 and operating costs increased due to pandemic-driven supply chain disruptions.
